Visitors can embark on an eye-opening journey, during which they will learn to cook a variety of Peranakan* dishes from talented chefs and browse the intricate wares that distinguish this ethnic group. Participants will be taken on a tour of colourful Peranakan-style shophouses and introduced to traditional Peranakan accessories and garments, which involve painstaking embroidery, beading, carving and ceramic work. Afterward, they will have the opportunity to take photos in these traditional costumes and try their hand at whipping up classic delicacies.

Guests on this enriching adventure will discover how kopi (local coffee) is traditionally roasted to yield a unique aroma and flavour. On this educational expedition through nooks and crannies of the city, participants will meet paper sculptors who make effigies to honour ancestors and old-school bakers who make their bread, cakes and pastries by hand. Your clients will have the time of their lives on this tour, which will expose them to a multitude of sights, sounds and scents. Private tour groups can add and remove pit stops to include mama shops (a Singaporean convenience store), lion dance costume makers, songkok (traditional Malay headdress) makers and knifemakers.
