4 Local Culinary Experiences

Offer your clients the chance to learn to make popular dishes like chicken rice and salted egg cheese tarts through these cooking classes. The culinary workshops we’ve lined up below are great bonding experiences and present the perfect opportunity for visitors to pick up a new skill.

Food Playground

Food Playground

Why not consider adding this three-hour lesson at Food Playground (from S$99) to your itinerary? During the class, attendees won’t just be taught how to cook up to three authentic Singapore dishes.

In fact, Food Playground, located right in the heart of Chinatown, makes it a point to dive deep into Singapore’s food culture, covering everything from its heritage to the popularity of hawker centres. With classes running regularly from Mondays through Fridays, participants can pick up the finer skills of whipping up dishes like chicken curry and satay (grilled skewered meat) in no time.

For instance, the Pulau Ubin Kampong Cooking Escapade includes a visit to one of Singapore's most visited offshore islands, Pulau Ubin, where participants spend time learning how to make dishes like butter prawns and ice kachang (an ice dessert with ingredients like red beans, corn and sweet syrup) in the home of an Ubin resident. Prices start from S$140 per pax.

Programmes change frequently, so it’s best to check the website before booking. Prices are approximately S$55 per pax per session.
